Bob Wahl’s novel “Love Never Ends” is about faith and unwavering love. Bob has served in the ministry and is the author of multiple books.

I read “Love Never Ends” and braced myself for heartbreak. This book tells the story of Bob’s wife of nearly 59 years, Bev, battle with dementia and how Bob got through such a trying period in his life. Despite its devastating nature, the novel was brimming with love. All I could feel while reading the book was Bob’s intense love for his wife. Bob showed resolve and an awareness that something was off. Even though he was told repeatedly that everything was normal with Bev’s results, he continued to take his wife to appointments, knowing something was wrong. Bob overcame this difficult period in his life by relying on his faith. It was a gritty book that provided readers with an honest synopsis of Bev’s dementia fight through excerpts from Bob’s journal. The passages of this book that I found most difficult to read were the ones where Bob was upset with himself for something he felt he should have done. Bob was a great husband and friend to his wife, loving her unconditionally.

The beginning of the book by author Bob Wahl was my favorite aspect of it. It discussed the depth of their shared life, including their family, love, travels, adventures, and faith. It established the framework for the book and emphasized how incredible their nearly 59 years together were.

I really like every aspect of the book and have found nothing I can critique.

I gave it a five out of five. Many of us have experienced dementia in a friend, loved one, or other close relative. This book provides insights into Bob’s faith, his interactions with the medical system, his humility, and his methods for keeping the family informed of developments and changes. It was expertly edited, with very few errors.
